An Interview with Ayman Al Atar (Part 2)
by: Mahmud Abudaber
Mahmud: Speaking of your music career, where does your family stand? Are they supportive? Any objections from any family members or relatives?
Ayman: Oh ya my family support me, they guide me and help me to concentrate on my talent since I was a kid, and there’s no objections from anyone, they all with me.

Mahmud: When you heard about Super Star competition did you make a decision to attend it right away or it took a while to think about it?
Ayman: I thought about it enough to make the decision to attend it,, especially I was already a singer in Libya.

Mahmud: After you decided to attend the Super Star competition, did you tell anyone or you just took off for Egypt?
Ayman: My friends from season one had told me to attend, I said I will and when I decided to go I told my friends and my family in Libya but all of them said ya ya ya ya (they thought I was joking). My friends didn’t believe me till they watch me appear on Super Star.

Mahmud: Have you faced any difficulties during Super Star competitions?
Ayman: Not really, but it was a stressful period because of all the tension that comes from thinking about the songs I was going to sing for each week also the selection and performance of each song on television for international audience and fans alike was tiring.

Mahmud: Your first CD is out and two of your songs “Omry” & “Bahebak” are on the top 10 of the Arabic chart, what does that mean to you? What’s your favorite song on your CD?
Ayman: I’m glad, it means a lot to me, I think my first CD was a success, even though my production company didn’t do enough promotion and publicity to get my CD to the worldwide audience, but I thank God my fans loved it. The songs that touched me the most on my CD “Omry” “Ma Andy Alb” “Bahebak” and “Sa’altak”. (laughs) all of them

Mahmud: I have spoken to several of you fans in USA & England who said they can listen to your songs on the Internet, but they’re asking about where they can buy the CD, what should we tell them?
Ayman: It should be everywhere. Unfortunately my production company didn't distribute the CD very well, but I saw sites are selling it on the net and in Virgin mega stores worldwide. Maybe I’ll come to you guys in USA and England and do concerts there .. I’ll be more than happy to sing for you and meet you.
